A Collaboration of Craft uniting two Berkshire based Craftswomen who share a passion for celebrating the natural world without it costing the earth.
This beautifully handcrafted beech wood egg is part of the Skew & Ink Spring Garden Collection. Inspired by sketches of Spring flowers grown in Tee’s garden, this Iris design is hand drawn using black India Ink. Each individual egg displays two blooming illustrations which wrap around each side. These decorated wooden eggs have been hand turned using a Skew chisel by Woodturner Liz Pearson from Love HeartWood. The beech wood is reclaimed and sourced locally in Berkshire by Liz. These eggs make the perfect eco-concious gift for friends and family and will add a unique decorative feature to any home. If you are buying this as a gift, why not have it beautifully wrapped with a hand written message (for a small cost of £2) and it can be shipped directly to your recipient. You can write your message in the order notes box under the Additional Info section at the checkout.
The eggs are available in two forms – standard or hanging. The hanging versions have an additional small metal eyelet at the top and are supplied with a choice of coloured hemp twine, produced in the UK. All eggs are lightly coated in a non-toxic sealant made from natural lavender, orange and tree oils. There are six beautiful Spring bloom designs to choose from, each with a specific meaning:
Daffodil – new beginnings | Tulip – declaration of love | Crocus – joy & renewal | Iris – faith, hope and wisdom | Freesia – innocence and thoughtfulness | Cherry blossom – rejuvenation, beauty and strength
Skew & Ink wooden eggs are approximately the size of a large hens egg – 4.5m x 6.5cm. Packaging box measures 13cm x 11cm x 9cm. As all eggs are handmade to order, please allow 1 week for your order to be processed, plus 2-4 days for standard delivery.
